Role of normative commitment in fostering university employees’ commitment

چکیده

A study investigated how normative commitment leads to employee in a South African University. The literature review was conducted on the concepts of commitment, and university setting. An explanatory research design adopted together with deductive approach. Quantitative methodological chosen determine common characteristics respondents, survey by means questionnaire used collect data, while descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA (analysis variance) were IBM SPSS, Version 26. Findings suggest that none tested variables (gender, age, qualification as well years an organisation) influences commitment. This led conclusion does not influence institution. Recommendations include different test have been formulated, involving many other higher learning institutions.
